Our Programme
The Allan Gray Scholarship Programme offers high school entrepreneurial scholarships to learners who have a curious, entrepreneurial mindset; have the potential to excel academically and are financially deserving.
Scholarship recipients receive funding to enrol at leading high schools across the country in addition to support and interventions that develop their entrepreneurial mindset.

Potential is Nurtured through Mentorship
The Programme fosters the curiosity and potential already exhibited by learners through face-to-face, online and peer learning, as well as one-on-one interventions.
Scholars benefit from mentorship provided by a dedicated Programme Officer. They complete the programme with an understanding of entrepreneurship and an appreciation for collaboration and community, inspired to create value as part of their entrepreneurial careers.
Scholarship Application Requirements and Process

- Applicant must be a current Grade 6 learner in the year of application
- Must be a South African citizen
- Age: 11–12 years old in Grade 6 (born 2013 or 2014)
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Minimum 70% for both English and Mathematics
Process
- Submit application form and supporting documentation
- Write Foundation assessment (English & Mathematics) in Dec 2025
- Attend interviews in early 2026
- Placement school interviews
- Successful candidates awarded scholarship in May 2026
- Foundation, school, and custodian sign Memorandum of Agreement
